1. Documentation and discovery
DriveGT lets members document current and past cars, organize collections, understand estimated values and communicate about permitted interest. A garage is not automatically a verified inventory for sale. A car can be publicly visible without being available to buy.
DriveGT does not inspect, certify, buy, sell, finance, transport, insure or transfer title to members' cars. It is not a vehicle auctioneer, dealer, escrow provider or guarantor of member-to-member payments. Official membership payments are a separate service.
2. Represent the actual car honestly
Document only cars you have the right to represent, including genuine current or previous ownership and authorized professional inventory. Label previous ownership accurately; it does not entitle you to sell someone else's current vehicle.
Correct material errors in identity, trim, mileage, condition, originality, history, modifications, equipment, ownership, documents and sale availability. Do not forge evidence or present an estimate, recollection or AI suggestion as a verified fact.
If you are a trader, comply with applicable trader-identification, advertising, consumer, tax and vehicle-sale rules. An account badge or membership payment does not supply a trading licence or independent vehicle verification.
3. Factory configuration and options
Review the selected year, generation, model/trim, body and powertrain against the actual vehicle. Search results and factory specifications can contain model-knowledge suggestions or incomplete source information.
A suggested factory option/code or generated icon identifies potentially applicable equipment, not your VIN's confirmed build. Answer Fitted, Not Fitted or Not Sure according to what you can establish. A shared exact-car catalog never makes another member's fitted answers yours.
Distinguish original factory equipment, later genuine OEM/dealer accessories and aftermarket changes. A manual option added by a model-knowledge lookup is not automatically manufacturer-verified. Keep relevant records and do not inflate originality or value using unconfirmed equipment.
A replica, tribute, competition/tuner reference or screen-used declaration requires clear identification and appropriate provenance. A member declaration does not authenticate a movie car or remove the need for independent evidence.
4. Photos, video and generated covers
Only upload media you own or are permitted to use. Actual vehicle photos, studio references, generated option illustrations and cinematic transformations have different meanings. Do not pass off stock or generated imagery as evidence of the actual car's condition, fitted equipment, ownership or attendance at an event.
Generated covers may alter surroundings and details. Inspect the output, identify generated/reference material where needed and keep original records. Hiding damage or inventing provenance with an image is prohibited.
Avoid exposing home addresses, people without appropriate permission, keys, identification, payment information or confidential documents in public media. Important document retention remains your responsibility; the garage is not a legal archive or substitute for a secure independent backup.
5. Privacy and valuation visibility
Garage visibility, individual-car visibility, value visibility and offers/messages are separate settings. Permitted public content can be seen by signed-out visitors through discovery, direct links and other public features. Check the relevant controls before sharing.
A private valuation can leave an eligible car visible with Value Private. Growth percentages or other permitted information may have a different visibility rule from currency amounts. Temporary owner-side price masking is not a saved privacy change.
Sharing a link does not grant access to a restricted car. A car tag in Moments does not override its privacy. People who already had access may have made independent copies that a later setting cannot recall. Your public bio or photographs can identify you even when direct contact fields are not published.
6. Eligibility, approval and discovery order
Discovery requires the applicable public visibility, approval, completeness, photos and owner eligibility. Both current and previous cars may appear. An approval check is a platform eligibility decision, not an inspection or certificate of accuracy.
Ordering can consider recent additions, estimated value, country variety, category, exceptional model rules, low or missing values and rotation. Signed-in discovery and signed-out previews can differ. Refreshing can change positions under the same rules.
Membership does not guarantee a featured position, a fixed order, a view count or sale interest. We may remove or restrict an ineligible or misleading car under the Terms and Content Policy. Expired owners' cars are hidden from current public discovery/delivery until restored eligibility; saved records are not deleted solely by expiry.
7. Valuations, forecasts and currency display
Estimated Value Today, condition ranges, garage totals, historical changes and five-year projections are informational estimates for the stated market and update date. They are not guaranteed prices, professional appraisals, insurance/tax values or promised investment returns.
A secondary price can be a periodically updated/cached conversion into the viewer's selected currency or visitor display currency. It is not a second sale price or an executable bank rate. Private or missing values are not zero.
Rarity, production and liquidity indicators do not certify an individual car's provenance, survival status or time to sell. Read the AI & Valuation Policy and obtain independent evidence when decisions depend on a value or specification.
8. Messages, offers and sell signals
Only use offers or messages when your account, the recipient's preferences and the car's current eligibility permit the action. Respect blocks, quotas, cooldowns and refusals. Do not submit false offers or pressure someone who declines.
Open to offers, for sale, Pre-Market and sell signals describe a member's chosen status, not a promise that the car remains available. A previously owned car may appear for documentation rather than sale. An accepted platform offer is not proof of a completed transaction.
Participants must separately agree the actual vehicle contract, parties, inspection, price, taxes, payment, title and delivery terms. Do not assume a message or status can never have legal consequences; get appropriate advice and use a proper sale agreement. DriveGT is not a party to that vehicle agreement.
9. No vehicle escrow or platform payment guarantee
DriveGT does not hold car deposits, check buyer funds, provide vehicle escrow, release cars, arrange delivery or guarantee a seller/buyer. Official Stripe membership checkout is unrelated to paying a member for a car.
Do not transfer money because a profile exists or because someone claims to be a DriveGT agent. Independently verify any payment instructions through a trusted channel. Treat requests for urgent release, shipping, insurance, reservation or escrow fees in DriveGT's name as suspicious.
Contact info@drivegt.com about such a claim. Never send a password, full card number, banking login or unnecessary identity papers to a member or an unsolicited support contact.
10. Due diligence and safe dealing
- Independently verify the person's identity, authority to sell and, where relevant, trader status.
- Inspect the actual car and check title, liens/finance, theft status, registration, mileage, service history, condition and authenticity through reliable independent sources.
- Arrange a qualified inspection and professional appraisal/legal advice where appropriate; do not rely solely on platform estimates, badges, generated photos or messages.
- Confirm the written sale terms, secure payment method, insurance, import/export/tax requirements and title/delivery arrangements outside any unverified chat claim.
- Use a safe meeting location, verify changed bank details independently and resist urgency, secrecy or pressure. Stop when evidence or instructions conflict.
Member-to-member risks are real. These precautions do not relieve a trader of its obligations or remove rights arising from DriveGT's own legally actionable conduct.
11. Reminders and ownership responsibilities
Service, insurance, inspection, registration and other reminders depend on the dates you enter, your preferences and provider/device delivery. An alert is not certification that a car is roadworthy, insured or legally registered.
You remain responsible for actual maintenance, inspection, insurance, tax and registration requirements. Keep authoritative records and check deadlines independently when missing one could create legal, financial or safety risk.
12. Reports, corrections and restrictions
Use available report controls or email info@drivegt.com with the member/car link, issue and relevant evidence. Do not publicly disclose bank details, identity documents or private conversations while reporting. In an emergency or suspected crime, contact the appropriate authorities; DriveGT is not an emergency service.
We can investigate, correct a shared reference, remove misleading content, restrict offers/messages or take proportionate account action. The Content Policy explains review requests. We can preserve necessary evidence and comply with valid legal requests without promising that every car has already been checked.
The Terms govern responsibility and remedies, including mandatory consumer rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. This policy does not create an absolute exclusion for DriveGT's own negligence, misrepresentation or legal duties.
