1. Relevant, lawful and honest content
DriveGT supports automotive collections, ownership histories, photography, engineering, market discussion, events and serious member interactions. Share material relevant to those features and follow the audience/usage limits presented when publishing.
Distinguish established facts from opinion, an estimate, recollection or generated reference. Keep identity, vehicle, sale and business claims accurate, and correct material mistakes. A paid account or a badge is not proof that all its statements are true.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
- Fraud, impersonation, phishing, forged vehicle/identity documents, fake sale or escrow claims, misleading provenance or ownership, and deceptive payment requests.
- Threats, targeted harassment, stalking, bullying, blackmail, discriminatory abuse, extremist recruitment or promotion of terrorism.
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual extortion and sexually explicit material.
- Unlawful disclosures of private addresses, contact details, identity/financial records or private conversations; doxxing and deceptive use of another person's likeness.
- Gratuitous graphic violence, shocking injury content or encouragement of self-harm; an automotive context does not automatically make harmful material acceptable.
- Encouraging dangerous driving, illegal street racing or unsafe challenges. Responsible history, engineering discussion and lawful motorsport remain welcome.
- Stolen/infringing photos, footage, text, music or other material, including generated copies intended to evade another person's rights.
- Spam, unrelated mass promotion, unauthorized automated posting, fake respects/saves/views, manipulation of valuations or ranking and repeated unwanted contact.
- Malware, credential theft, attempts to evade access/moderation controls, and publication of instructions intended to facilitate fraud or unlawful harm.
3. Vehicle records and equipment claims
Only represent a car when you have the right to do so. State current/previous ownership, originality, modifications, history, condition, mileage and sale availability honestly. Do not conceal known material information to deceive another person.
Configurator suggestions, shared factory options, option codes and illustrations do not prove a particular car's fitted equipment. Confirm only what you can establish and use Not Sure where appropriate. Original factory, later OEM/dealer and aftermarket equipment must not be misrepresented as the same.
Replica, tribute, competition/tuner and screen-used claims require clear distinctions. An estimated rarity/production figure, generated photo, car tag or verification badge does not authenticate a vehicle. The Garage & Vehicle Policy provides the detailed rules.
4. Media rights, privacy and consent
You must own the content or have the rights needed to upload, transform and share it to the chosen audience. A credit, source link or presence on the internet is not permission. Music rights apply to video soundtracks as well as photographs and text.
Consider people, private premises, location, registration plates and embedded metadata. Obtain the permissions or other lawful basis necessary for sharing personal information. Do not post identity papers, banking information, private messages or confidential documents without authority.
Use only the content needed for the relevant feature. A Moment or tag does not authorize taking another member's garage photograph. Saving or respecting a post is a bookmark/reaction, not a licence to repost it or keep accessing it after permission is withdrawn.
5. Moments audiences
Eligible members can publish supported photographs/video with captions and a chosen audience. Moments is currently a desktop members-only feature, not a signed-out public feed.
Only Me limits the ordinary member audience to the author. Followers limits it to eligible followers, subject to blocks. Moments Members permits eligible members, subject to access restrictions. The audience is independent of garage, car and valuation settings; publishing a post does not change those settings.
Authorized administration can handle reports and enforce platform rules, including reviewing relevant content. A private member audience is not a guarantee against necessary administrative processing. Changing an audience or deleting a post cannot recall copies someone already made outside DriveGT.
Membership expiry restricts paid publishing/editing but does not itself delete existing posts or change their audiences. An author can contact support about rights or removal without renewing.
6. Tags, Respect and Save
Use tags accurately and respectfully. A user/car tag is a reference, not ownership, endorsement or consent to publish private content. Tagged members can remove their references through supported controls; current access and privacy continue to apply.
Moment Respect and Save names/counts are not public to other members. The author and the authorized Architect administrator can inspect the respective identities. Notifications can name the actor to the publisher, so these actions are not anonymous to the publisher.
Do not harass through repeated tagging or manufacture engagement. Permission to view a saved post can end if its audience changes, it is deleted or you lose access.
7. Replies, offers and messages
Replies to a member's Moment use private messaging and its contact permissions. Supported replies to system/editorial Moments are visible within the eligible Moments audience. Do not put confidential information into those audience-visible replies.
Messages and offers must be relevant, lawful and non-fraudulent. Respect blocks, contact restrictions and declines. Do not pressure a recipient, make knowingly false offers, demand unrelated personal documents or use a conversation for spam or scams.
Private communication is not permission to republish it. Neither a chat nor an accepted offer is proof of vehicle ownership, funds, delivery or a completed sale. Follow the Garage & Vehicle Policy and independently agree actual transaction terms.
8. Generated material and editorial identities
Selected search illustrations, cinematic photos, option icons and automotive editorial use AI or automated assistance. Generated/reference imagery is not evidence of the actual car, an owner's identity, a real trip or an historical event. Inspect it and identify generated/altered material where needed to avoid deceiving viewers.
Do not generate or publish content to fabricate provenance, damage-free condition, sale urgency, ownership, testimonials, transaction evidence or a person's actions. Do not use tools to impersonate someone or generate exploitative material.
DriveGT Journalist and other system editorial profiles are platform publishing identities. They are distinct from real member accounts and should not be treated as independent human eyewitnesses or manufacturer endorsements. Articles/illustrations can contain errors; report a material correction or rights concern.
The AI & Valuation Policy explains model knowledge, source limits, generated images and estimates. Assistance does not remove responsibility for a member's own misleading claims.
9. The Street, sources and market commentary
The Street can present Daily News summaries, Car Moment Stories, market commentary, event discovery and permitted featured garages/cars. Source material retains its owner's rights. Generated editorial illustrations are distinct from actual news photographs.
Market history and 1Y/3Y/5Y indicators concern estimated past movement. A separately labelled future projection is not a guaranteed return. Views or interest are recorded platform activity, not a certified sale or proof of buyer funds.
Events can be changed or cancelled. Verify time, location, entry conditions and current status with the organizer before booking or travelling. Featured placement does not certify a car, business, organizer or service.
10. Advertising and commercial relationships
Where commercial promotion is permitted, describe a business or paid relationship accurately. Clearly disclose sponsorship, affiliate/payment relationships or other material incentives when required. Do not disguise advertising as independent experience, manufacture testimonials or imply a brand/DriveGT endorsement that does not exist.
Professional inventory and messages remain subject to platform limits, consumer/trader rules and privacy. Do not export member contact data for unsolicited marketing. A public post does not authorize another member to run an external advertising campaign using your identity or media.
DriveGT's limited promotional use of publicly visible cars on its official Facebook and Instagram pages follows the Terms and Privacy Policy. Hidden cars and private material are excluded from new promotional use, and our posts must not publish members' full names or email addresses. Check the permitted audience and rights before featuring a car; obtain any additional likeness, copyright or other permission needed. Requests to remove a DriveGT-controlled promotional post can be sent to info@drivegt.com.
11. How to report content or infringement
Use the available report control or email info@drivegt.com. Include the precise page/post/car/member link, the conduct or material at issue, why you believe it violates the law or this policy, and relevant context/evidence. Give a reply address where it is safe and appropriate. You do not need a paid account to email a report.
For an intellectual-property notice, identify the protected work/right, your ownership or authority, the material's location and a statement that the information is accurate and you believe the complained-of use is unauthorized. Include a name and electronic signature where appropriate. We may ask for clarification; do not send unnecessary private documents or publish the dispute to other members.
Report suspected child abuse/exploitation or immediate threats urgently. Do not attach, download or circulate illegal material in order to report it; provide its location. Contact appropriate law-enforcement/emergency services for an immediate danger. DriveGT support is not an emergency service.
12. Review and proportionate moderation
We review reports and can restrict distribution, remove content/tags, limit messages/offers, suspend accounts or take other proportionate action. Serious illegal content, credible danger, fraud or security risks can require immediate protective action. We can preserve necessary evidence and comply with valid legal requests.
Moderation considers the content, context, severity, applicable law, repeat conduct and available evidence. A member report does not itself establish guilt, and legitimate disagreement is not automatically a policy breach. We do not promise that all content is pre-reviewed or that automated assistance is infallible.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we provide the affected person with the decision, reasons and review route. Notice can be limited or delayed to protect safety, another person's privacy, an investigation or a legal requirement. Removing content from the feed is not necessarily immediate physical deletion of all underlying records/files; the Privacy Policy explains retention.
13. Challenging a decision or handling a complaint
Email info@drivegt.com with Content Review in the subject, the affected content/account or report reference, decision you contest, reasons and supporting evidence. Explain if you believe lawful expression, privacy, ownership or access was affected incorrectly. We investigate and respond appropriately; a request can be made without renewing.
A rights holder or reporter can also raise a concern about how a notice was handled. We may restore or maintain restrictions after review and will explain an outcome where permitted. We do not guarantee an automated restoration or waive applicable legal complaint, regulator or court rights.
Do not repeatedly submit knowingly false/malicious reports or use reporting to harass a member. Necessary action under this policy does not remove mandatory consumer rights concerning a paid service.
